Green Earth (also known as Terre Verte) is a green pigment made from the mineral Glauconite, or Celadonite. Glauconite and Celadonite have similar properties and similar colors. In this section, we will try to make pigments from these two minerals.
It’s Glauconite, I bought from a mineral store.
Crush your Glauconite with a hammer.
Then grind it finely with a mortar and pestle. The Mohs hardness of Glauconite is about 2.
